She was listening to him. Funny. She didn't think she should feel comfortable talking to him about any of this. Complete stranger and here she was asking him to help her find a man to exact a little bit of revenge. Not just any complete stranger but someone who worked for the FBI. She was probably certifiable and didn't even realize it. But the way he talked, the things he said, made it a little obvious that he wasn't any way by the books. That or he was just trying to get her to say she wanted to kill the man and then maybe arrest her for conspiracy to murder.

That. would. Suck.

She didn't think hat was the case anyway, she leaned against the wall a bit and let her head roll in his direction a bit.

"Pull the trigger, plunge the knife, kick his head in ... don't really care."

It was odd, there wasn't enough anger in her voice to be saying such things but it was there whether it was audible or not. She rubbed lightly at her hip as she thought just a bit. His comment about easy targets made her just a little uneasy but after a minute it made sense didn't it. Then he was going through the photo's, quiet, he looked hesitant to take them at first but she was watching him now and he couldn't keep his eyes off of them.

"Josh worships the thought of his grandfather being an FBI agent, I'm trying to get that bullshit out of his head as we speak. Becs is to the age where she figures she's met him a handful of times, but he's nothing special or important. She gets that from me."

Then he was asking about Hannah and she took a deep breath. She suspected it would come. It was inevitable. She rolled her head back to the front and then tilted it up towards the sky starring at him a moment as she tried to figure it out.

"Dads fond of his secrets..."

It bothered her that he hadn't been told about them. It made him feel like a secret though ... in all honesty it made her feel like her and Hannah were some kind of secret. He was giving her wide brown eyes and she couldn't help but laugh and shook her head.

"Hannah gave that look..."

She shook her head as the laugh died down and she let out a sigh.

"Hannah was ... good. Through and through. Straight A student in high school ... babysat for all the neighbor kids, Steve was her high school sweetheart. Went straight into college knowing she was going to be a elementary school teacher, got married at twenty, started having babies. Managed to have a baby, finish school ... and start teaching without missing a damn step. Took care of me most of my life, I'm kind of a screw up. Cleaned up after me a lot, mom gave up on me long ago, Hannah never did ... even until she..."

She shrugged and looked down at her shoes now.

"She was funny too. And she didn't have to be raunchy to do it either. She was just...a goof...and if she got you laughing there was no stopping her. She was good people. It's my fault you didn't' get to meet her..."

She looked at him with a bit of an apologetic look.

"She'd been bugging me for years to pull you into our lives. Even if it was just a trip to meet you... maybe emails...but she knew if she put herself in your life some how, then that meant I automatically got put there and since I didn't want to have a damn thing to do with you she suffered for it...you suffered for it. I'm really sorry. She hated the thought blood out there ... that she didn't know ... that she couldn't hug. She loved to hug. There were nights we'd be hangin' out...girls night, her with a bottle of wine me with my Tequila, and ... she'd just beg me."

She realized she was babbling but she couldn't stop. She brought her hand up to her face and dragged it over her eyes, she wasn't going to cry but her eyes were warm, and it was obvious she probably could. She'd let the cigarette burn down and so she tossed it to the floor and stomped on it with the heel of her boot before lighting up another one to take another inhale of nicotine and all kinds of other stuff that was good for you, before letting it out slowly.
