Mental/Personality Traits and Weaknesses/Phobias
Overall Archer is an upbeat guy with a fierce loyalty to his friends and family. He grew up in a group of people where friends became family and you don't turn your back on family. His mother is a devout Catholic but he has recently drifted away from the faith. He has some problems with a few of the tenets of the faith. He has not told his mum that he has not been to mass in almost a year. He's not stupid.
Archer does not like closed in places and doesn't use elevators unless absolutely necessary. If there are stairs, it is never necessary. This fear is recent and there is a story behind it.
He's got a soft spot for animals although he is no vegetarian.
Archer has a rare blood type: AB Negative.
Home, Haven and Occupation/Hobbies
He lives in a 25 story apartment building on the 10th floor, apartment 1002. Parking is hard to come by.
He has two jobs: a bartender at Murphy's Law (Irish pub) and mechanic (Boss' Garage)
Skills, Talents and Education/Training
From a young age, Archer showed aptitude with cars and had rebuilt his first carborator at age 9. Over the years he has honed that skill. He took a bartending class a year ago and for the last six months has been working on flair bartending techniques.
He is very good with throwing knives. He does not like guns.
Property, Pets and Toys
Due to a recent gas accident in his apartment, Archer has lost most of his physical belongings and clothes. Although he doesn't have an XBox at the moment, he still has his gamer tag of ChasingQuinn. Chase made him get a phone recently so Archer will very soon be tethered to an iPhone.
Any stray pet or injured wild animal becomes his charge. Currently he is nursing a baby turtle back to health. It lives in his bathroom sink and has been dubbed 'Sir Swims-A-Lot' by Chase.
Archer doesn't have a car of his own yet but he's working on one for the street racing ('63 Ford Mustang, emerald green) that if he wins the race, he can have so says Boss. He can't afford parking so it would largely end up staying at the Garage which isn't too far from where he lives.
Friends, Enemies and General Contacts
Archer counts the following people as friends: Paddy at Murphy's Law, Cookie (the chef) and the regulars of the bar; Boss at the garage and the guys who work there. Although recently met, any Friend of Chase's is a friend of Archers so Maura and Mel are also in the friend category.
He's not buddy-buddy with the police considering his habit of participating in illegal street racing.
He doesn't have too many he would consider enemies (yet). He's just a likeable guy.
Brief History
He grew up in a lower income family where dad was not around. His brother, Quinn, older than Archer by six years was the father figure that Archer looked up to. His mother was mom to all the stray boys in the neighborhood so there was no lack of activity in the family house. The garage often had one project or another being worked on and mum always made sure the boys had the parts they needed. After all, if they were in the garage working on a task, they weren't out running the streets and getting into trouble.
At the age of 19, Archer left home and settled in NYC. He needed to get away and his mother supported the idea. He has done all right for himself. He met up with Boss pretty early on and used the garage as his home until he got steady work that helped supplement his garage paycheck.
The family suffered a real loss when they found out Chase was dead. Tragedy came with that when Chase's parents were killed in a car accident and Quinn with them. A day after that, Archer ended up in the hospital when a drunk driver hit him while he was riding his bike. His mother remain steadfast in her faith. She is still the block mother for the young boys in the neighborhood.
